After a simple breakfast at the hotel, went to Jallianwala Bagh gardens, site of 1919 massacre led by Dyer
Then in evening back to Golden Temple, which was packed due to it being Diwali today
Sikhs believe circulation one round of the temple will bring them blessing very calm albeit noisy atmosphere and multiple times approached by all manner of folk looking for photos of us/them. Also a strong urge to strike up conversation with us on all topics, careers, tourism, love life advice!!!
Back to the hotel, and was like going through a war zone, simple firecrackers through to thunderous aerial mine explosions. It was very strange walking around with hundreds of people all benignly wielding swords and spears. We were very close to one firecracker, giving tinnitus and ear pain
