Sydney day 6

Started the day with a run around Centennial Park which was nice but I got slightly lost cutting about 1k off my intended route! However as a result I did see what I think were a big colony of flying fox (large (1kg) fruit bats) over trees where they roost. A bit like raptors with their wings on back to front

Later in the morning we took the bus and ferry across the harbour to Manly where we walked across the narrow peninsula to the pacific coast with a long beach. Watched people playing (what to me seems like the impossible game of) beach volleyball, pretty well

Good coffee and lovely lobster rolls at Wolfies followed by homemade cheesecake (justified by my run obviously!)

Walked the promenade. Oddly as we walked there was a sudden crunch behind us and we turned to find a car on its rook where we’d crossed 30seconds earlier. Newspaper later reported “an old man sped across the junction hitting a truck then a tree and flipped over. Minor injuries after trapped upside down for 20minutes”. Lulu said by a lottery ticket!!!

Finally back home for “mums minty lamb” and a nice view from Lulus home office
