A rather bumpy flight all told, but views over Russian Steppes, Mongolia were spectacular from above

Took first BYD taxi via didi app, again novel but seamless over to our hotel. Cherry blossom buds along the highway looks promising
Hotel Paragon is very nice “International” style, so a good start. 10foot (year of the) horse made of flowers in the atrium
In the evening took a short walk to local shops past Beijing Railway Station built in Moa’s time
It was a bit chilly in the evening so coats worthwhile now, then had two sorts of quite herby beef noodle soup courtesy of Apple Translate. Decided against fatty intestine noodles today..
