China Day14 Yangtze Cruise

Currently wandering around trying to find the old streets

Seems to be the plumbing district. Many of these small shops

After a big downpour we found coffee the the “old streets”. Rather invaded by tourist shops but I guess the nature of the hillside and intrinsic buildings remain even if reconstructed. Being wooden reminiscent of alpine village!

Initially went to Shibati district going down then Shan Cheng Lanes going up, up, up! Saw city walls and views over the Jialing River

We had “fried pig skin rice” for lunch. Cheap, (30Yuan), tasty, rather chewy!

I think this could be Chongqing attempting to modernise Sydney Opera House, not sure it quite works for me

Chongqing Grand Theatre, at the confluence of the two rivers (Jialing and Yangtze)

Just “splashed out” on a Premium Didi taxi. White shirt, black trousers, tie, opened door for us. Nice BYD. All of 30p extra! And driver awake and considerate

Not sure on signal/tech on the cruise, if not, see you on the other side!!!
